The Island of Misfit Makes & Wonky Bars
Welcome to the land of the beautifully imperfect.
Sometimes things get a little… Mad House around here. Colors go rogue. Fragrances ghost me after curing. A lotion gets a touch too toasty and shows off a few tiny freckles. Whipped soap loses a little of its fluff. Or a product simply lives its best life and lands in “mark it down” territory.
Instead of tossing perfectly good goods into oblivion—this is where they end up.
Every item here is:
✔️ Safe
✔️ Usable
✔️ Made with the same high-quality ingredients
❗ Just a little wonky
Think of it as character. Personality. A rebellious streak in soap form.
This collection is ever-changing—once it’s gone, it’s gone. You never know what oddball treasures you’ll find.
Maybe one day I’ll hit level 1000 soap sorceress status and this section won’t exist… but let’s be honest—where’s the fun in perfection?
Welcome to the Island. 💀🧼
THE OFFERINGS
Strawberry Nest WOnKy BaR - The design came out beautifully, I love it so much! Unfortunately, my mica didn’t quite blend in to my batter as I’d hoped so there are little color freckles throughout. It’s a perfectly wonderful bar of soap. The fragrance also did a bit of a disappearing act as well. It’s still there, but subtle.
Stroll through Santa Barbara’s sun-kissed strawberry fields with this nourishing perfume oil featuring notes of luscious strawberry and dewy pink peony warmed by solar woods reminiscent of driftwood in the sun.
Orange Bourbon Marmelaide WOnKy BaR- So, many soap makers use Sodium Lactate in the making of their cold process (the type that I make) soaps. Sodium Lactate helps make hard, long lasting bars of soap, so the customer has more time with their purchase! I got a little heavy handed with this, as my head math must’ve been mathin’ something else at the moment I poured it into my lye solution, and then my batter. Because Sodium Lactate is Sodium, these bars are a little salty on the outside, but are perfectly soapy. If anything, they should last a long time!
The scent is nice and strong and begins with vibrant citrusy notes of orange marmalade and tangy tamarind, sparking a lively and bright opening. The heart reveals a sophisticated blend of warm bourbon, rich coumarin, and a hint of spicy clove, adding depth and intrigue. A sweet, smoky base of brown sugar and tobacco wraps the fragrance in a warm, indulgent embrace that’s both bold and inviting.
