Black Opal is what happens when soft florals grow up, put on leather, and stop asking for permission. Inspired by the iconic Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud, this bar is rich, moody, and unapologetically indulgent.
This confetti-style soap inspired me to call it “Man Glitter,” like the floor of a garage “man cave.” But we’re way too elegant for that, (even though man glitter does seem pretty luxe in the garage world) so we looked further. The name “Black Opal,” was suggested by a couple of my Facebook followers, and I can totally see it! The little color flashes of confetti against the blackish-gray backdrop give opal vibes.
Scent Profile:
Spiced clove opens the door, leading into a lush heart of dark damask rose. It settles into a smoky, resinous oud base with a subtle sweetness that lingers just enough to keep people close.
